Ryde Tramway Memorials: 1910 "Drinking Fountain"

In 1908 there was a memorial for the 'first turning of the sod'. In 1910 there was a drinking fountain unveiled with the arrival of the first tram.
This paper is a chronology of the "Drinking Fountain" memorial from council minutes and newspapers.
The base of the "Drinking Fountain" memorial is now located in Banjo Paterson Park, Gladesville. The "turning of the sod" memorial is located on the footpath at the corner of Blaxland Road and Church Street, Ryde.
