About Us
Since 1946, the Municipality of Ryde, now the City of Ryde, has been served by multiple library branches. With the establishment of the specialist Local Studies Collection at the central library in the 1980s, Ryde's history has been collected, stored and made available progressively via our online catalogue.
Now that history will be shared via Ryde History Hub. Not only is the library sharing parts of its historical collection with the community, but the community can participate in the enrichment of this digital archive by:
- uploading digitised images or documents;
- adding tags to images to improve searches;
- provide suggested edits to improve the historical accuracy of the records;
- add your personal recollections
Ryde History Hub should be used in conjunction with the City of Ryde Libraries' online catalogue Spydus, as it will take some time to transfer all of the catalogue records.
