ABOUT THE OBJECT
Date Created1910Object DescriptionThis monument was unveiled in June 1910 to commemorate the arrival of the first tram to Ryde. It was originally located at the terminus of the tram at Hatton's Flat.
In its original form it was surmounted by a column but by the 1930s the column had been removed.
It is unknown when it was moved to Banjo Paterson Park.
