Eastwood Lunar New Year Festival, 2022
DESCRIPTION
After a 2-year absence due to the Covid Pandemic, the City of Ryde Lunar New Year Festival returned to Eastwood Oval. The festival, organised by the City of Ryde in partnership with the Lunar New Year Committee, included a number of activities including workshops and a drawing competition. These were held in the weeks leading up to the festival day.
Come and see the Lunar Lanterns Light up Eastwood Plaza.
Participate in online workshops including Tiger Drawing workshops and Cooking classes – including Dumplings, Wontons, Lo Mein and Chinese Pancakes. Registrations essential to join.
Win gift cards by entering a Tiger Drawing competition. The competition is open to anyone aged 3-12 years old. There are two age groups, 3-6 and 7-12 years.
Saturday 12th Feb – Eastwood Oval Lunar New Year Cinema
Book your tickets and come down to Eastwood Oval from 6.30pm to watch performances and Lion Dance before the open air screening of ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ at sundown. Food trucks on site. Bookings essential for entry.
