(5)   Ald. Stone attended meeting of 25 February 1931 and explained that business would preclude him from regular attendance at the Council meetings during the next three months and it was agreed that leave of absence be granted to him in respect of his absence from the meeting of 11 March 1931 and the subsequent consecutive Ordinary meetings for a period of three months from that date. At the meeting of 1 July 1931 Ald. Stone was granted another period of leave of absence for three months. In fact, he did not attend a meeting for the rest of the year
