Charles Dyer
DESCRIPTION
Charles Dyer was a long-serving alderman and Mayor of the Municipality of Ryde during the 1920s. He first served as mayor in 1921 and returned to the position in 1923, remaining mayor through 1927. Dyer was elected as an alderman at the municipal election of 2 December 1922 and was repeatedly re-elected mayor by his fellow aldermen during the decade. His lengthy mayoral service made him a significant figure in Ryde's municipal government during the 1920s
