Youth Creative Competition

Since its inauguration in 2023, the City of Ryde Youth Creative Competition has celebrated the work of exceptionally talented young artists and writers aged 12–24 who live, work, or study in the City of Ryde.

Each year features a unique theme, encouraging fresh ideas and creative expression.

Overseen by a panel of expert judges with specialist knowledge in both art and writing, the competition provides a valuable opportunity for emerging creatives to have their talents recognised.

In the art category, entrants submit works such as paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, digital artworks, or collages. In the writing category, submissions may include short stories, fan fiction, poems, reviews, or other pieces of prose, up to 1,000 words.
