Elsinore
DESCRIPTION
Description
Elsinore was located at the corner of Wade Street (no. 13) and Osborne Avenue (no. 20), Putney. It was for many years the home of the Nielsen sisters: Genevieve/Jensena May Nielsen; Violet Susannah Nielsen and Camilla/Camellia Olivia Nielsen.
It had classic, turn of the century character features highlighted throughout, including 3.2 metre detailed ceilings and cornices (each room with its own decorative pattern), kauri pine floors, picture rails, original fireplaces and a substantial wrap around verandah.
Sales history includes sold at auction 21 Jul 2014 for $1,840,000 before it was demolished sometime after 2016
