Creator/PhotographerNeville GallopDate Taken13 September, 1940DescriptionThe notes given by Laurie Gallop was as follows: "This incident occurred one wet Friday afternoon in 1943. The brakes would not hold on the downgrade from Epping and the train overun the dead-end on the relief siding. The driver was killed, but the fireman jumped out and only received minor injuries."|The steamer was approaching Eastwood Station from Epping. This accident was identified in Eastwood Scrapbook. (This book is located in Local Studies, call no. LH994.41 GIUL.)|Mr George L. Dixon, who was the driver of the steamer, was killed outright.
