Eastwood Library
DESCRIPTION
The earliest library service in Eastwood operated as a deposit library within the Eastwood School of Arts building on Agincourt Road. In June 1959, this service was replaced by a new independent branch library, which opened on Rowe Street, occupying the former site of the School of Arts.
In 1989, the Eastwood Women’s Rest Centre, located at the corner of Hillview Road and West Parade, was closed. The site was later redeveloped to include a new library alongside tea rooms for the Country Women’s Association (CWA). On February 23, 1991, the Eastwood Library officially moved into this new facility, where it continues to operate today.
