Verso of map contains an extract from The Sydney Morning Herald of 14.3.1925 reporting that the proposed St Leonards - Eastwood electric railway was approved by the State Parliamentary Works Committee the previous day. Details are given of the route (including an extension to the Northern Suburbs Cemetary) and the estimated cost. Also shown is a large detailed plan of the proposed railway, showing the location of stations at Lane Cove, East Ryde, North Ryde and Marsfield.
