Description
Dorothy recalls her childhood including school days and the Pacey family printing works and memories of her mother's family, the Williams'. She details her activities as a member of the VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment) during World War II and later as a dental nurse. She paints a portrait of family life in Ryde including holidays, Christmas celebrations, Chinese market gardens and the effects of the Influenza Pandemic
