Description
Connie Turner recalls anecdotes and incidents from her life in Eastwood from the 1920s to the 1940s. Details about her home and family life and her rather chequered career at school are given. She also explains the hardships of a young job seeker in the Depression years. Her work during the War (paid and voluntary) is described in particular the importance of St John's Ambulance and Voluntary Aid Detachments
