Description
Pat Jenkins (nee Makinson) relates details of her childhood, young adulthood in Ryde from the 1930s to the post-war years. She mentions incidents at work and social activities, and her memories of WWII. She also includes aspects of post-war life such as buying a house and her time in the Voluntary Aid Detachment - Scottish Detachment, as well as her involvement in the St. Charles Catholic Youth Organisation.
This interview is complementary to that of Pat's husband, Basil
