TG Millner Fields
TG Millner Fields comprise some 7 acres of open community space, situated in Marsfield at 146 Vimiera Road.
The iconic fields were named after Thomas George (TG) Millner (1887-1986), a prominent local with links to rugby union and the Eastwood Rugby Club.
The land for the TG Millner Fields was purchased in 1960 by Thomas George Millner and Vimiera Recreation Grounds (VRG), a company associated with Eastwood Rugby Club. After helping develop the fields, Millner sold his land the VRG in 1954. The clubhouse and oval were built by volunteers and after 1963 and the development of dressing rooms, home games were played at Marsfield. Additional land was bought by Eastwood Rugby in 1967 increasing the site to more than 16 acres (65,000 m2)
In 2000 Vimiera Recreation Grounds, the owners of TG Millner, signed a 99-year lease with North Ryde RSL which transferred control over the entire complex to the RSL. In 2017, VRG advised that the entire complex had been sold to North Ryde RSL.
