Ryde Court House (Church Street)
DESCRIPTION
Built in 1863 by George Miller Pope for the Justice Department and used as Ryde's first Court House. It was also the first meeting place of Ryde Municipal Council.
Ryde's first Post Office was attached to the northern side. The Registry Office was on the south side. St Anne's Church acquired the building and it served as the Church office for many years.
The Church Street court house was replaced by one on Victoria Road.
