Ryde Civic Centre: commemorative plaque for the opening of the Ryde Civic Centre

Creator/PhotographerAngela PhippenDate Taken2015DescriptionThis photograph shows the plaque on the eastern facade of the Ryde Civic Centre unveiled for the opening of the building on 15 August 1964. There was a second plaque to its right for the 50th anniversary of that event unveiled on 15 August 2014.

These two plaques were located immediately to the right of the glass entrance doors.

Since the demolition of the Ryde Civic Centre in 2021, the plaques have been in storage.
