Granny Smith Festival, 2016
The Granny Smith Festival in 2016 was held on Saturday 15 October.
The Grand Street Parade of 2,000 participants consisted of marching bands, community floats, dancers, Granny Smith and Sweetie Pie.
Festival goers could visit the Orange Farmers Market or spend some time in the Family Zone, hosted by Ryde District Mums.
Special entertainment for kids included SplashDance from ABC Kids TV; DJ Jazzy; Gaston Souffle Kids Show; Julian Bull Magic Show.
At Eastwood Primary School, the special youth area called The Core hosted a block party, laser tag and wheelchair basketball.
Four stages were used: Plaza Stage, Trelawney Stage, Roundabout Stage and the LJ Hooker Oval Stage.
The festival concluded with a performance by Nada Leigh and Jasmin-Jade Nasser of 'The Voice 2016' with their band 'Party Rock People' followed by fireworks.
