Description
Description
The 2015 Granny Smith Festival took place on Saturday 17 October and celebrated 30 years of the festival.
The day began with a Grand Street Parade consisting of 2000 participants: marching bands, community floats and dancers. Sweetie Pie, the Festival's mascot, made an appearance but so did The Batmobile and the Delorean.
Music and entertainment were provided at the various stages including at the Trelawney Street Stage, the Plaza Stage, the Roundabout Stage and the Oval Stage. Competitors tried their luck in the Big Apple Singing Competition.
Festival goers could visit one of 250 market stalls and be entertained by street performers and at the carnival rides.
The concert at night featured Soul Empire, followed by the Fireworks spectacular.
