Granny Smith Festival, 2011
The 2011 Granny Smith Festival was held on Saturday 15 October.
The day began with the Grand Street Parade. In addition to street performers and an international food fair, there were 60 acts on 6 stages including the Trelawney Street Stage, the Oval Stage, the Plaza Stage and the Roundabout Stage. Attendees could visit over 280 market stalls spread along the streets of Eastwood. Youth were catered for at the Youth Zone, The Core.
There was a Granny Smith Memorial Church Service at St Anne's, Ryde on 16 October where Maria Ann Smith and her husband Thomas are buried; The Eastwood Croquet Club held an open day. You could Paint a Tile to support the creation of Livvi's Place, an all-abilities playground at Yamble Reserve, Ryde..
The family concert featured Motown: The Show followed by fireworks.
