Description
The 2001 Granny Smith Festival parade was held on Saturday 20 October.
Throughout the day there were five stages of entertainment; an international food fair, hundreds of market stalls, street performers, carnival rides, skateboarding demonstrations, a circus playground, face painting and balloons and an apple baking competition.
20 October was also the launch of Children’s Week and so Sparkles the Clown Magic, Music and Madness Show featured on the Eastwood Oval stage.
The day concluded with a family concert and karaoke which featured The Beatnix, described as The Ultimate Beatles Show, followed by a Fireworks Spectacular on Eastwood Oval.
