(7) Ald. MacMillan was elected Mayor for the balance of the Mayoral term at a Special meeting on 30 June 1942 to replace Ald. Harrison who had enlisted
Ald. MacMillan was elected Mayor for 1943 at a Special meeting on 2 December 1942
(8) Ald. Bondfield was elected Mayor at a Special meeting on 1 December 1943
(9) There was no mention of the election of a Deputy Mayor at the Special meeting of 10 December 1941 or at the Ordinary meeting of 17 December 1941
(10) At Special meeting on 2 December 1942 ‘Ald. Mitchell asked for permission to move for the appointment of a Deputy Mayor … Ald. Mitchell [informed] that it would be necessary for him to give notice of his intention to move for the appointment of a Deputy Mayor’. At Ordinary meeting of 9 December 1942, notice of motion re electing a Deputy Mayor was withdrawn
