(3) From newspaper references as no minutes exist. Apart from the resignations and elections which have been recorded here, it appears that there were no others. However, the absence of Council minutes and the irregularity with which the Council meetings were recorded in newspapers means that this list of aldermen who served 1929-1931 may not be definitive
(4) Ald. Ball and Ald. McBeath both resigned from Central Ward February 1931. Date for election for these two Extraordinary vacancies was set for 28 February 1931. (5) Ernest John Booth was elected to fill the Extraordinary vacancy created by the resignation of Ernest Percy Woodford from West Ward. (7) Ald. McBeath and Ald. Ball both resigned from Central Ward February 1931. Date for election for these two Extraordinary vacancies was set for 28 February 1931.
