(4)   At Ordinary meeting of 12 December 1928 a piece of correspondence was minuted from W R Featherstone tendering his resignation as an alderman. The resignation was accepted. It’s unclear why this resignation was necessary given there was an election on 1 December 1928 to elect aldermen for the following year and Ald Featherstone did not re-contest
