The 1994 Granny Smith Festival was centred on Eastwood with the opening, procession and bush dance and fireworks held on Saturday 15 October.
There were two stages for entertainment: Trelawney Street Stage and the Plaza Stage. The attractions included a display of Morris Dancing, camel rides and a woodchopping demonstration. There were over 170 market stalls. The Inland Navigators, from Sydney Rocks, provided the entertainment in Eastwood Park at night.
This day began the festival week which continued with an ecumenical service of worship at Eastwood Park, a civic service at St Anne’s, a Granny Smith reunion of descendants as well as a Granny Smith Day at West Ryde.
