Creator/PhotographerAngela PhippenDate Taken2009DescriptionThis is a photograph of the Eastwood Town Hall. The original town hall was built 1911/1912. In 1937, fire caused extensive damage to the building and many council records were destroyed. The Town Hall was rebuilt within a year.

NotesThe Municipality of Ryde was declared in November 1870. In 1894 the Municipality of Marsfield (later Municipality of Eastwood) seceded. Both municipalities amalgamated in 1949. City of Ryde was proclaimed in 1992.
